Overview
The 4-lesson (8-hour) course is a short but focused programme designed to give you a strong introduction to music production or help you sharpen specific skills quickly. Each lesson lasts 2 hours and is taught one-to-one by our professional tutors, who are active producers working in the industry week in, week out, releasing music, performing, and collaborating at an international level.
This course is completely customisable to your goals and experience. For beginners, it might focus on the fundamentals of Ableton or Logic, beat programming, and track structure. For more experienced producers, it could dive into advanced techniques like sound design, workflow improvement, or polishing mixes.
What You Can Cover in 4 Lessons:
• Setting up your DAW (Ableton / Logic) and navigating the workspace.
• Creating drum patterns and understanding rhythm.
• Intro to synthesis, sampling, and sound layering.
• Building simple arrangements and understanding track flow.
• Basic mixing techniques: EQ, levels, and effects.
The 4-lesson course is ideal if you want a taste of music production, to fill gaps in your knowledge, or to quickly level up in a specific area without committing to a longer programme.
Requirements
No Previous Experience Needed: Courses are open to complete beginners as well as experienced producers. Lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
Age Requirement: Individuals under 18 years of age require parental/guardian consent.
Commitment: Each lesson is 2 hours. Students should commit to attending their chosen block of lessons (4, 8, or 12) to ensure consistent progress.
Software & Equipment: All production courses are taught on Ableton Live or Logic Pro. Studio computers, software, and equipment are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own laptop if they prefer.
USB/Storage Device: Recommended for saving projects and stems to continue working from home.
Optional Prep: Bringing a small playlist of tracks or genres that inspire you will help shape the direction of your lessons.
One-on-One Tuition
Lessons are delivered one-on-one at our Leeds studio, offering personalised instruction tailored to your pace and goals. Group lessons are not part of the curriculum, ensuring focused and effective learning.
Flexible Scheduling
The course includes four two-hour lessons, which can be booked on any day of the week at your convenience. If needed, rescheduling is quick and hassle-free.
