Overview
The 8-lesson (16-hour) course is a balanced programme that gives you the time to go beyond the basics, refine your skills, and start developing your own sound. Each lesson lasts 2 hours, taught one-to-one by our professional tutors, who are active producers working across international shows, festivals, and studio projects.
This course is tailored to your level and genre. Beginners can progress from creating their first drum patterns to building complete tracks, while more experienced producers can focus on areas like sound design, mixdowns, or workflow efficiency.
What You Can Cover in 8 Lessons:
• Full DAW setup (Ableton / Logic) and workflow best practices.
• Drum programming and groove building.
• Advanced sampling and resampling techniques.
• Sound design with synths, plugins, and layering.
• Building complete arrangements with intros, breakdowns, and drops.
• Creative use of automation, effects, and transitions.
• Intermediate mixing skills: EQ, compression, gain staging, and reverb/delay.
• Track feedback and development towards a polished demo.
This pathway is ideal if you want to make solid progress towards producing full, structured tracks while building confidence with professional tools and techniques.
Requirements
No Previous Experience Needed: Courses are open to complete beginners as well as experienced producers. Lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
Age Requirement: Individuals under 18 years of age require parental/guardian consent.
Commitment: Each lesson is 2 hours. Students should commit to attending their chosen block of lessons (4, 8, or 12) to ensure consistent progress.
Software & Equipment: All production courses are taught on Ableton Live or Logic Pro. Studio computers, software, and equipment are provided, but students are welcome to bring their own laptop if they prefer.
USB/Storage Device: Recommended for saving projects and stems to continue working from home.
Optional Prep: Bringing a small playlist of tracks or genres that inspire you will help shape the direction of your lessons.
One-on-One Tuition
Lessons are delivered one-on-one at our Leeds studio, offering personalised instruction tailored to your pace and goals. Group lessons are not part of the curriculum, ensuring focused and effective learning.
Flexible Scheduling
The course includes eight two-hour lessons, which can be booked on any day of the week at your convenience. If needed, rescheduling is quick and hassle-free.
