Overview
The Academy94 Mixing & Mastering Course is an intensive 8-hour program designed to help producers achieve professional, release-ready sound. Covering EQ, balance, dynamics, spatial effects, and advanced processing techniques, this course provides expert guidance to refine your mix. You'll learn how to shape your sound, enhance clarity, and add depth, ensuring your tracks stand out in any setting—whether for streaming, club play, or label submissions. The course concludes with bus processing, final tweaks, and a live mix critique, giving you the confidence to deliver industry-standard results.
Requirements
No prior mixing experience is required, but you should have a basic understanding of music production, including track structure and the role of key elements like drums, bass, and leads. This course will take you from foundational skills to a professional mix, making it ideal for producers eager to refine their sound.
For the mastering section, a solid grasp of mixing techniques, including EQ, compression, and stereo imaging, is recommended. Mastering focuses on enhancing and finalizing a track, rather than fixing a poor mix, so you should feel comfortable making final adjustments to achieve balance, loudness, and clarity. If you're ready to take your music to an industry-standard level, this course is for you!
One-on-One Tuition
Lessons are delivered one-on-one at our Leeds studio, offering personalised instruction tailored to your pace and goals. Group lessons are not part of the curriculum, ensuring focused and effective learning.

The Silver Bullet Mk1 and Burl B32 Vancouver add depth and analogue character, while the Ferrofish A32 Dante ensures pristine AD/DA conversion. Finally, our Prism Sound Lyra 2 provides mastering-grade recording and playback, ensuring the highest fidelity throughout the process.
